Rosella Head Mount Brooch
These sweet brooches (or mini wall mounts) are made with Eastern Rosellas – a species that is endemic to Australia, but considered to be potentially problematic for our native species as they compete for food and tree cavities. Causing localised damage to grain and fruit crops, including stripping flowers from some fruit trees also makes them unpopular for farmers.
These Eastern Rosellas were collected as part of pest control measures. As a result, some specimens were not viable for full taxidermy mounts, but they were perfect for creating small pieces for new and experienced collectors alike!
Every brooch comes boxed and ready to give as a gift, or as a treat for yourself.
